Generally a big fan of everything LWCG does, but they introduced a very annoying flaw in this change if you use double steps.
For the good: I had the .75, but with my size 13 boots, I wanted more platform. Mission accomplished. I got the latest platform on the 1.0 vs the older platform on the .75. I like the ability to change the angle on the compact sticks with the multiple grommet holes, so that’s a great change.
For the bad: Whoever decided the bolt standoff for the doubles should be enclosed made a big mistake. Absolute PITA. In the previous design, the flat bottom part of the half moon was open and there was just a little more room. By enclosing it, the bolts have to be rotated to a very specific orientation, otherwise they don’t fit. Gotta love going back to all your sticks to try and adjust those bolts to be the perfect angle. Now when you’re trying to get the sticks on there in the dark, if you don’t have them lined up perfectly, they won’t fit quite right. If you don’t catch it before strapping them down, then everything wobbles and clacks when you go to walk out.
I don’t know why you had to fix a problem that didn’t exist. If you’re in the market for a 1.0 and use the regular double steps, find a used one from before the 2025 change.
Very glad I added the 1.0 with the large seat to my gear setup. I was going back and forth on the 1.0 vs the .75 but, I wanted have more comfort and the weight difference isn't enough to care about when its on your back. Super comfortable with just the shoulder straps (even with sticks and a pack on it). I have Tree Styx and they pack well when either taking the full sized wolf pack or just a small fanny pack sized thing. They are the same width as the widest part of the platform so they dont catch anymore brush. This stand has me not wanting to saddle hunt as much.
I’ve been a Lonewolf guy for a while now. I had an original .5 and a few months ago decided to upgrade to a new .5 and 1.0. I met the guys at a show and discussed my needs. They got me set up with a brand new system. I ended up with new compact doubles and compact minis as well. I absolutely love them.
Best in the business, hands down…. Decided to grab a 1.0 for those days when I want more foot room or those long all day rut hunts. I’ve had a few trips where I didn’t have a long walk in, so carrying a couple extra pounds is no big deal. Happy to add this to my collection.
I was able to take my first public land buck by staying mobile and getting deep into the woods away from pressure. Thanks to the great gear from lone wolf
1.0 would be the smallest platform for my size 6’2 230lbs. I bought 3 and used them in various set ups from traditional sit and hunts to saddle hunting
I love the 1.0 stand this is my second one, Everything’s perfect lightweight easy to use good traction lots of tiedown points. My only knock on it is the seat cushion is oversized for the seat, But not enough of a issue for me to not give it a five star
Got the stand for late season sits with bulky clothes and might have accidentally rendered my saddle gear redundant. Magaed to squeeze in 10 sits before reviewing.
Overall solid and great quality with few improvements required. If you strap gear to the stand for carrying, the attachment points need to be sanded or any strap will be cut through fast. Seat cushion is great starting out but compresses over time and for +200lb user becomes uncomfortable fairly soon. Also the surface of the seat cushion is quite delicate and something already managed to scrape a chunk out of it without me noticing. Highly recommend using a buff scarf as seat cover and it mitigates also any squeaking noise when turning on the seat. Seat bolt loosens quite fast and combined with velcro strap under height adjuster, leaves some sideways play in the seat. Will have to see if that can be improved somehow. Chamfering the bottom edge of the offset bracket greatly improves seating the stand into trees with hard and rough bark, like old oaks etc. Should be included in the design really.
Still probably the best stand out there for the size, very solid attachment to any tree without much hassle. Grip is nice when everything is covered in snow and ice. All that's really needed for a good stand is to keep you up in a tree and not get in the way and that's where this stand excels.
I originally got this to compliment my .5 for different hunts but after using it and killing a buck out of it I may outright replace the .5 with it. Just as comfortable as any presets ive used and the perceived weight of the taller platform on your back makes it carry better than the .5 and its still very light that hanging it is still super easy
The stand and sticks are a perfect match. They come as advertised. I was concerned with the size at first coming from a climber but I have yet to be uncomfortable even through day long sits. Shipping was quick and the stand came ready to go. I have the mesh seat with a 20 inch post. My stick set up is 3, 20 inch sticks with aiders on all three. I also have the side kick on the stand which has worked out well. My brother tried it out and ended up ordering the same set up with the 2.0 stand. Weight savings over the climber (summit) is an extreme difference and worth the cost to me.
This 1.0 stand paired with the 17” double step sticks is one lightweight and deadly combo! With the new LWCG load lifter backpack straps I can hardly even notice the set up on my back. I’ve never been one to say or believe that buying new gear will be the deciding factor in killing mature whitetails, but this set up will sure as hell help get you closer to them and keep you in the game longer. My only regret is not pulling the trigger and buying sooner! I’ll definitely be a LWCG customer for life!
Smoother than butter and sweeter than sugar and is as quiet as a cougar on the stalk! If your hunting out of any other stand you mid as well hang wind chimes in the tree with ya. This thing is more Mobil than your grand daddy’s motor home yet better looking than your celerity crush no turning the lights off when you being this beauty home throw the paper bags away and let er shine . Another flawless product by LWCG thanks guys!
This stand is a game changer! Love the weight and how big the platform is. The locking seat is a game changer as well. My boy barely let me get it out of the box before he wanted to try it out as you can see. I see some sticks being ordered in the future for better packing purposes. Thanks for a great product!!
Amazing stand. As stable as the come when on the tree. Being as light as it is makes hanging extremely easy on either your strong or weak side. Extremely quiet no squeaks or creaks. Seat isn't horrible much better than an xop or standard lonewolf seat.
This is my first season with a LWCG 1.0 and its light and extremely strong. I got on top of deer twice in the first week of archery season. I think is a great tool for bowhunting and an investment for years to come.
Awesome stand. I hiked a mile with it and couldn’t believe how much better it felt compared to my climber. Now I can’t wait to get some red on it.

Ordered my 1.0 and a four pack of 20” doubles during the Black Friday sale and finally got around to putting everything together this weekend. The fit and finish of this stand is incredible. And coming from a Lone Wolf Alpha (an already “light” stand), this setup feels like a feather.
Weight aside, what really sets this apart and why I purchase it is the intuitive packing system. Truly a game changer. No more fumbling around trying to pack everything up without making a bunch of noise. Can’t wait to get it out in the woods this fall!
The honeymoon over! Before purchasing the LWCG 1.0 stand I had spent hours studying and contemplation the investment for a stand so light, so small, sounding so perfect I would only end up having buyer’s remorse, well I was wrong. Now after 2 seasons I am convinced that this has been the best purchase I’ve made since I began bow hunting over 30 years ago! If I could offer any advise to those on the fence, hold up on that new $1500 bow for 2022 and consider a $550 investment that will offer a greater advantage than just a couple extra per feet second and sure to satisfy more than a couple years…

1.0 is the perfect size for a mobile hunter in my opinion. I’m 6’1” with size 12 boots, and it’s a really comfortable stand that’s really easy to hang.
One strap up top, cam it in and it’s incredibly solid.
This is my first season doing the hang and hunt thing. Will truly say I’m glad I spent the money and went with the doubles and 1.0 stand. Truly is comfortable, light weight, and easy to use. Pairing this stand with the double sticks and the wolf pack is the key for hunting in remote places for long sits!!
I love the stand. By far the best stand I have ever owned. I just wish the sticks were a little more secure. Maybe some longer grommets would help. I wound up using Titan Straps to secure them for packing and they are dead silent that way. Great stand and system.
Love these new stands. Lighter. Love the seat option and love the new color and look. Also love the way the sticks pack on. Super low profile. Well thought out for the run and gun hunter.
What a stand. I had the original and this latest version with more restraint Tees, cable cuts and sidekick mounts feels like an upgrade. This is the gold star winner for longer sits and is so darn light it’s the same for quick sits too. So many well thought out and designed details that for a mobile hunter looking to go the extra mile or hour. My minis and my doubles (17s&20s) cradle on nicely w the new lock spots and the post edges are not sharp or a concern for damaging a strap. Even the hardware and pack straps that come with it are great. Two tweaks suggested- some slayer tape at a few contact points and take the pic of yours next to a giant buck not upstairs in a barn.
Loved my first 1.0 and bought the 2021 version and got to say that they really thought of everything from the bow holder holes in the seat to the platform. Also 4 total tie down points and the spot for the double step feet to sit in, and the cut outs for the cables to sit in so that you don’t have to put the cables over the sticks. Now you can put the cables under the sticks with your j-hooks holding everything down. Amazed lol… I mean what else can they think of??? I highly recommend this to everyone! Thanks
Love the 1.0 so much I just bought another one! I mean what can I say, it’s the best stand out there next to the .5.
