NJ public land saddle hunter here. The Ranger Hybrid has become the centerpiece of my setup. It's lightweight, quiet, and incredibly comfortable for long sits while still keeping all the mobility I want from saddle hunting. Paired with my Latitude pack, everything stays streamlined and organized. Easily one of the best hunting purchases I've made.
I have only had it a short time and have practiced with my bow from it. So far I have zero issues. Great stand! I am a saddle hunter and this stand will be a game changer for all day sits as well as packing my gear in. Another excellent product by Lone Wolf. The design/manufacturing of the stand incredible. The platform size is perfect!
From the moment I tried it out at the deer classic I knew it was for me. I have srt climbed with it on my back. Feels like nothing there weight wise and talk about biteong into a tree! Rock solid. Sitting faceing the tree is a great option to take a break. Also not bad to use as a regular stand as well. In my opinion worth the money. Very happy with it. Can’t wait to get into the woods with it this fall.

I bought the hybrid to use for some all day sit. I love my ambush but being able to sit down will be nice with the hybrid. I was able to set up the hybrid with a waist belt to carry extra layers and gear. My only complaint is the platform not folding completely flat because the top button hits the platform.

It’s perfect for all day sits
This stand is an excellent hybrid option. The name is accurate, because it’s not a replacement for a tree stand if you want to spend most of your sit with your back to the tree. It’s doable in this stand, but not ideal. But for hybrid hunting where you want to hang in your saddle, stand some, sit some, and have plenty of unobstructed foot room, this thing is perfect. The seat functions as a nice built-in knee pad. But you may realize how nice sitting and facing the tree is and forget to use the knee pad. The bite on the tree is unreal. I added pictures to show how deep into the tree these teeth bite. When this thing is set it’s the most stable platform/stand I’ve ever been in. Downsides? It’s a little awkward for the shoulder straps. The seat is a .5 seat so it has the shelf lock tabs that want to get into your back if you’re not careful. And of course, it’s not as streamlined as the fix. All that said, for the niche this stand fills, it is perfect. Literally the best hybrid stand on the market. The LWCG team is awesome, and they’ve earned my trust so I’m willing to spend the money for their stuff.
Was 90% sure I was going to send it back. Boy was I wrong. Absolutely love it. I put pad on both sides. Resting your knees on the seat is awesome. Having the bigger platform gives you 360 degrees of shooting without having to try very hard. Packs good too. I just strap my sticks to the seat. Good job with this one guys !
If you’re like me, you’ve been watching a million videos and researching the pros and cons of the Ranger vs other options. Let me tell you, I’ve been saddle hunting now for the past 10yrs and have tinkered with and tried almost every combination and I’m convinced The Ranger + a One Stick setup like my EWO stick just might be the best option out there (at this time). If weight and packability are important factors to you then you should check this setup out. I’ve bounced back and forth between public and private all year, doing multiple double sets with my wife to get her on a buck and I’m completely sold. The new locking tab on the seat post is perfect and can be activated with gloves in cold WI weather. After being taped and wrapped, everything is completely silent, I use a rubber gear tie to fasten my One Stick to the Ranger and it’s like they were made for each other, they literally “snap” together and the one tie holds perfectly. The system cams perfectly and once you get some reps, you can cam it while standing next to it on your stick before even getting on (bark thickness plays a role in how much slack you need to allow before cam-ing) I’ll do a YouTube video soon explaining my setup and mods in more detail under Miller Bros Media if your interested.
This Ranger setup is perfect for how I hunt whether I’m setup a couple of feet off the ground or up at 8 ft. I have used this as a sit down stand quite a bit and can sit comfortably for the early morning hunts. Used this as a saddle setup a few times and love the foot room and the seats knee pad. And of course there is no issue in this biting into a tree. Thanks LW !

I mainly hunt with a saddle and this stand has everything I’m looking for. It’s very mobile and easy to hang, and I love having the option to sit on a seat. The seat folded up with the cushion facing me is very nice for leaning my knees into the tree. The only gripe I had was while in transport mode it was uncomfortable, but I’ve fixed that with a few gear ties and an old backpack strap and also cut the tabs off the back of the seat as they are unnecessary. Highly recommend and the quality is very good. Very light weight.
As a saddle hunter I try to have weight to a minimum but not sacrifice comfort. The Ranger Hybrid is the sweet spot. Ditched my backpack and I use the seat/shelf to carry most of my gear in addition to a waist pack and I’m good to go. Super quick and easy to hang and having a seat with my saddle set up is where it’s at. Super solid and worth every penny!
Have used a few different platforms before the lone wolf ranger hybrid but I like this the best. I have all the platform with no cables but can also use it as a tree stand and sit down super light and strong highly recommend if your looking into hybrids hunting!
Perfect do it all stand! Light, compact, sturdy! Micro doubles nest very well in this setup. Im 6’ 240# and the stand sits surprisingly well for someone my size. Its nice to be able to change position, even if its just a few minutes, from having the saddle/tether pulling on you. Makes a big difference in my hunts. If im walking into a unknown spot, my ranger hybrid is the stand of choice.

The Ranger Hybrid is exactly what I was looking for. No cables to trip on and the way it goes around the tree rather than just butt into it gives you a lot more real-estate to work with. I have used it comfortably as a hang on as well.
I love this stand! I can honestly say it helped me tag one of my target bucks this year. I was able to hunt areas where in the past I wouldn't have. The Ranger with my V2's is my go to set up now! I'm glad I made the investment! Cant beat LWCG's quality or customer service! I have other platform's from other companies and there is no comparison. I promise!

Being able to sit for a while will be the key.
Hybrid way of hunting is great . You can go to the woods then decide if you will hang it - hang on style or platform style -once you get to location and look at different trees and what kind of cover they have . Wish the platform came out a little bit further so your feet could rest on there a little better but I think maybe after a couple sits I’ll get used to it .
This is by far the best saddle hunting platform/stand I have ever had. I am 6' 5" and the seat does not feel too short at all. I have very long legs but can still comfortably sit. I primarily saddle hunt but wanted a bigger platform and a seat to sit on for an hour or so. It bites into the tree amazing, is lightweight, and works perfectly for my needs.

Only used it in the yard a few times so far. Very comfortable for its size. Love the seat cushion can be used as knee pads.

It is great so far. Craftsmanship is great. I have not hunted out of it as I got it after season but I have hung it a couple of times and it is exactly as I expected, can’t wait till next season.
