When I first got the climber, I had tried it a couple of times and there was something I felt was missed at the design of the stand. I liked the weight, thickness, and ease of packing it to the woods, but I wasn’t sure what it lacked. I didn’t feel like I could trust it like my old LW climber I have used for the last 15 years.. so I decided to lend to a friend to try, and his feedback was spot on. He said he liked everything about it except for the foot room while standing, he mentioned that it needed 3” or so more on the platform. Me, owning a machine/tool and die shop, my mind was already thinking about a design to make this a non-issue. I had made a couple of drawings of what I knew would be an improvement to the stand.. later that week I had heard rumor that LWCG had made an extension, so I ordered one and installed it.. I have about 40 or more hours in this stand now, and I absolutely think it is the best climber out there. I have always said that my old sit and climb would be the last stand I would ever buy, but after a 10 day Iowa hunt last fall, and hitting age 50, I wished I could lose some weight and bulk from the old stand..
You men have absolutely crushed it on this stand.. the compact design and weight are superior.. I am pushing the weight limit on this stand and I feel as safe in it as I do the old 300lb rated sit and climb. The stand itself is a work of art, as a 30 year tool and die maker, I couldn’t have made one look or function any better, and the foot extension is just another piece of the puzzle.. Really makes a big difference but is way too expensive and should have been on the stand to begin with. I can’t see anyone over 5’10” hunting from this stand comfortably without it. They knew it was too small hence the reason they made it. But the stand overall is a great stand after installing the extension.
Bought the extension for some needed foot room on the platform, it was just as expected well thought out design addition, extremely well made just like the climber also it was easily installed snd added minimal weight.

Super comfortable easy to put on even when wearing several layers plus bulky coat, love the fact that you can configure to your liking.after I used mine for a couple of weeks I bought 2 more for my sons! Great product keep up the good work
Well made, and nice to have for anyone who wears a boot bigger than size 8. Wish it would come standard with the stand since you're already $1000 in. Glad they listened to feedback and came up with a solution.
I added the extension to my climber and love it. I wear an 11 boot so the platform was a little tight last season. I will be using it from here on out.
